Power tools explained!

In today’s blog post, we would like to inform you about the various tools that are required for installing a product in the door industry. We will cover three kits – professional, advanced and basic. Then, we will compare their prices and what would be your initial investment if you would like to buy one of the kits. Enjoy the read!

Which brands are the best? The answer to this question depends on the level and type of work you are primarily engaged in.

For instance, if you are a professional who uses power tools every day, consider investing in more durable brands. It might look like an unreasonably huge investment but using the right tool would make your working days satisfying! On the other hand, if you perform a lot of general handyman work, choose a brand with good ratio between quality & price. Last but not least, you are a homeowner who periodically needs to hang a picture or wants to complete some smaller jobs? The basic kit should do the job!

Battle of the brands

Many builders and fitters swear by specific brands. It can be intimidating to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new. Especially if the result could be a product that ruins your project! Each person may become overwhelmed by the sheer number of tools available with so many brands. Let’s go on a journey together to broaden your horizons and learn about some of the best power tool brands available.

Hilti started out as a small family-run business all the way back in 1941 when it was founded by Martin Hilti and Eugene Hilti of Liechtenstein. In fact, this tool maker is currently the largest employer present in the country. Although the business only offers a small selection of products, it is perhaps the top hammer drill manufacturer in the world. If you’re a pro, its things are pricey but worthwhile.

After DeWalt invented the radial arm saw and started selling other woodworking tools, the company continued to rapidly expand. One of the Stanley Black & Decker group’s American brands which provides a large assortment of decently made corded and cordless tools and accessories.

Bosch was founded all the way back in 1886 by Robert Bosch. The company is officially called Robert Bosch GmBH, and to this day, the charitable organization known as Robert Bosch Stiftung owns 92% of the company’s shares. Bosch headquarters are located in Gerlingen, Germany. A German engineering firm that produces far more than power tools. It is renowned among handymen for its top-notch cordless instruments.

The company was started by Mosaburo Makita in 1915, however, it wasn’t until 1958 that it got into the power tool business. While it first started with a planer, it soon expanded into tools like drills. Now it offers all of the tools you might need at a construction site or in a workshop ranging from impact drivers and hammers through angle grinders, sanders and routers all the way to reciprocating and circular saws. It also has a good selection of yard equipment and pneumatic tools in its portfolio.

Bralo is the most competitive company in the world in the manufacture and distribution of rivets and insert nuts, offering complete solutions in the sectors of industry, automotive, construction or renewable energy, among others. Since its establishment more than three decades ago, it has been carrying out a continuous investment program, with the development of its own technological innovations that, in some cases, have constituted a real milestone in the technology of fasteners. The trajectory of this success is based on an efficient organization and a dynamic and entrepreneurial management.

First off, Festool is a German brand, with headquarters located in Wendlingen, Germany. It was founded back in 1927 by Gottlieb Stoll and Albert Fezer, at which time it was called Fezer & Stoll. The company’s name was then shortened to Festo in the year 1933, and the Festo company then founded the Festo Tooltechnic subsidiary in 1992. The power tool division of this company was created in the year 2000 and is now an independent company, which is still owned by the family of Gottlieb Stoll and is now known simply as Festool. What is interesting to note is that Festool was the first company to manufacture a portable chainsaw, something that took place in 1927. Today, the company is best known for its power tools and dust extraction equipment.
